Branden Lyon, LMSW, ACSW

Branden is a clinical social worker who provides therapy to a wide range of individuals, couples and groups. Branden earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology and his Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. In addition to holding a full clinical license, he is accredited by the Academy of Clinical Social Workers (ACSW) and the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work (Board Certified Diplomate).

For more than ten years, Branden has worked with clients in a variety of settings ranging from outpatient therapy to in-home treatment. Branden has extensive experience assessing and treating psychological trauma as well as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship/marital issues, substance abuse, disability issues and traumatic brain injuries. He is experienced in using multiple therapeutic approaches to fit each client’s needs. In the five years before joining BRAINS, Branden focused his practice on treating posttraumatic stress disorder and working with military veterans and their families. He regularly gives presentations in the community about posttraumatic stress disorder and other readjustment challenges veterans and their families face.
