
Theresa Florian earned her MS in Occupational Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2008, and a BS in Therapeutic Recreation from Lake Superior State University in 1988. Theresa has 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of physical and mental challenges in recreation, education, vocational, and
rehabilitation settings. Theresa currently works part time as a school-based Occupational Therapist with students with severe levels of autism. She has also served as an itinerant Occupational Therapist, addressing visual perceptual, handwriting, and sensory processing needs of students. Theresa has utilized a variety of approaches in treating clients, including sensory diets, ALERT program, developmental crawling program, therapeutic listening, visual perceptual, visual motor, vestibular, and proprioceptive strategies. Theresa is also experienced in community integration and independent living evaluations. Theresa is excited to be a part of a team of professionals collaborating to treat the whole person.
