Designed for middle and high school children with Asperger's Syndrome, PDD, or high functioning autism, this program provides a variety of services intended to teach life skills and plan for transition to adulthood. Services often include psychological and vocational assessments, couseling (indvidual, family, and group), life skills training, and others.
This is a therapeutic mentoring program that helps participants develop life skills in real world situations. Available for children, teenagers, and adults, the program can be used independently, along with therapy, or following therapy. Participants often use skills learned in session and apply them to situations at home, work, school, or in the community where using the skills is difficult to do independently.
Diet is a vital part of physical and mental health. Our nutritional consultant can provide education and help develop dietary habits to improve a variety of physical and mental health needs.
This is a summer program intended for children ages 4-17. This program utilizes activities to promote development of social skills, communication, movement and self-regulation, and provides education and take-home strategies for parents.
BRAINS has collaborated with the Alcott Center for Cognitive Enhancement to provide a variety of therapeutic listening services on location.
