BRAINS has collaborated with The Alcott Center for Cognitive Enhancement, LLC, to provide learning and auditory intervention programs on site. The Alcott Center provides personalized, research-based learning programs to children with poor grades, learning disabilities, AD/HD, Auditory Processing Disorders, dyslexia, autism/Asperger’s/PDD-NOS, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Speech and Language delays, Down syndrome, and other challenges to learning. Programs offered comprise auditory intervention, cognitive and learning programs, and include:

Biographies

Lynn Carahaly, M.A., CCC-SLP
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Lynn Carahaly received her B.A. and M.A. from The Ohio State University. She has been in private practice in the Scottsdale, AZ area for 9 years, treating children from birth through 18 years of age with various developmental, speech and language, and learning delays and disorders. Lynn brought her expertise and passion helping children to southwest Michigan inspiring us to open The Alcott Center for Cognitive Enhancement, LLC. Lynn specializes in the treatment of Auditory Processing Disorders and related disorders and learning disabilities. She is a published researcher, and has authored several articles on the topic of Auditory Processing Disorders and Speech and Language Disorders. Lynn is ASHA certified and is a member of the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association and the National Coalition on Auditory Processing Disorders.

Vince Carahaly, Program Director

Vince received his B.S. from Purdue University and has received extensive training in each of the programs offered by The Alcott Center for Cognitive Enhancement. A member of Mensa, a talented musician, and the father of two, Vince has an amazing ability to motivate and inspire all types of children to make cognitive gains. Vince works closely with Lynn and each of our cognitive trainers to develop programming to ensure that every child receives individualized therapy targeted to his or her area and level of need.
