Nutritional Consultation and Coaching

If you could think more clearly, interact with and respond to others more effectively, feel better emotionally and physically, and have greater peace in your life by changing what you eat, would you do it?  If your children could have these benefits, would you change how you shop and prepare meals for them?

At BRAINS, we believe the food you eat is just as important as the medicine you take.  And the science is showing more and more that your physical, mental, and emotional function and development are linked with what you eat.  Like medicine, the right foods prepared properly will help you with:

  • More focus and clarity
  • Less volatility and moodiness mentally and emotionally
  • More energy
  • Greater health and well being
  • Fewer symptoms of chronic illness
  • Improved healing capacity

Our nutritional consultation and coaching services help you understand how to modify your typical diet to support your physical, mental, and emotional needs and concerns.  Our goal is to make the transition process as easy as possible and to support you, as needed, while working to incorporate foods, flavors, and textures you already like so your meals will still be familiar to you.  Through coaching, you’ll learn:

  • Simple and easy to follow guidelines for transitioning to a whole foods diet
  • Sensible eating habits
  • How to combat cravings—or at least feed them more healthfully
  • How to make simple, tasty whole foods meals that you and your family will actually like
  • Strategies for healthy eating to fit your busy lifestyle
  • Foods and supplements specific to your health concerns, including gf/cf/sf diets
  • How to address and/or identify food allergies and sensitivities

During the coaching process, you will not be judged or shamed for your eating habits.  We simply begin where you are to move forward.  Coaching will help you successfully transition to a healthier diet if:

  • The idea of feeling better, calmer, and more focused appeals to you.
  • You’re open to different ideas about how food affects you.
  • You’re willing to try foods that aren’t typically in your diet.
  • You’re willing to hit stumbling blocks and learn from them.
  • You can accept that it’s a long-term, lifestyle change, not a quick fix.
  • You’d really like help from a reliable source of reasonable information.

BRAINS does not sell or endorse any specific supplements, but will provide education and information to help you inform your choices wisely.
