BRAINS offers a therapeutic mentoring program for children, teenagers, and young adults. Community Integration for Teens and Youth (CITY) is intended to help clients learn to use skills and knowledge in real life situations. Trained mentors meet clients in the community to practice social skills or executive functioning skills in "real-life" settings. In this way, skills learned can be directly applied to where and how the child, teen, or young adult lives.
Although some clients participate only in the CITY program to develop specific life skills, many seek CITY mentoring following or during individual therapy to practice skills in a more controlled setting.
