TRAINING FACILITIES
BRAINS & BRAINS Foundation
BRAINS is dedicated to helping individuals and families understand the complexities of their functioning and endeavors to maximize the potential for success. Development can be altered by many factors, such as complications during pregnancy/delivery, injury, illness, exposure to toxins, emotional distress, or family related issues. We hope through the utilization of the resources offered at this clinic that development might be enhanced and there will be ongoing functional gains/stability.
To aid in this process, BRAINS has brought together specialists from many disciplines, being able to offer a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and treatment. The family is an integral part of the treatment team. Joined with the other specialists, the team anticipates offering unique treatment challenges to expand the capabilities within the individual/family. Working together in one central location allows the professionals to actively collaborate throughout treatment, hopefully avoiding some of the limitations that can be experienced when professionals are located at multiple offices/locations.
Finally, BRAINS endeavors to strengthen the confidence and energy of the system surrounding those in need through building relationships in the community. These relationships afford greater opportunities through avoiding the competitive nature that can be exhausting for individuals/families and clinicians allowing us to focus our commitment to a vision of care and growth.
The BRAINS Foundation is dedicated to raising and distributing funds to pay for services to uninsured or underinsured families, developing innovative educational and treatment services, training for professionals, and furthering professional understanding through research. Community education and advocacy are also elements of The BRAINS Foundation mission. It is through the efforts of The BRAINS Foundation that supervisor stipends and training seminars can be offered. Typically, student volunteers and paid trainees are “hired” through The BRAINS Foundation, but are part of the general staff and multidisciplinary team of BRAINS.
