YOGA AND MINDFULNESS FOR THE CHILD
BRAINS is helping children build strong inner resources to thrive in daily life through yoga and mindfullness. Yoga and Mindfulness for the Child is a three class series open to all children ages 6-10 years old. Yoga has benefits for adults and children alike.
“Our children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. We usually don’t think of these influences as stressful for our kids, but often they are. The bustling pace of our children’s lives can have a profound effect on their innate joy—and usually not for the better.
I have found that yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfillment, they can navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that’s noncompetitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion—instead of opposition—is a great gift to give our children.”
Children ages 6-10 years old can join this 3 series class. Each class is two hours in duration. Classes are designed to build focus, strength, and confidence. Yoga and Mindfulness will help your child gain a greater sense of self. Classes are $20 each. Payment is due at the time of registration. Cost of group is due in full regardless of session attendance. No discounts or refunds will be issued for missed sessions.
Please call (616) 365-8920 to register your child. Registration deadline for the first class is January 27th. Deadlines for registration are two weeks before each class. (i.e. March 17th deadline is March 3rd)
