This summer occupational therapy series will offer a full sensory experience while practicing skills in motor coordination, socialization, and outdoor exploration. Learn all about animals, weather, plants, and new summer games in a screen-free environment.

FRIDAY, JULY 12 and JULY 19 for 9-12 year olds

This group is appropriate for your child if:
- they are interested in nature.
- they like to move and explore.
- they could benefit from building skills over the summer with new friends.
Your child can expect to learn:
- coordinated movement
- awareness of senses in nature
- cooperative play skills with peers
- fun activity ideas for summer play
Outdoor Explorers will meet at BRAINS Main Campus. Registration is required and space is limited. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to provide sunscreen or apply before the group. Clothing and attire for messy play is encouraged and a change of clothes is recommended. Water bottles are also encouraged but not necessary. Dress for the weather- rain or shine!
Sessions are facilitated by Jennifer Westerhuis, MS, OTRL, CAS and GVSU Masters Level Occupational Therapy students.

Registration deadline is two weeks before the date of the class, registration will remain open until the class is filled. Waiver is required for all individuals attending the course. Waiver is due at time of registration.
$20 per session due in full at time of registration.
