Mariah DeVos

ABA Behavior Technician

Biography

Mariah is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) behavior technician working with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  She is completing her undergraduate studies with an emphasis in psychology and neuroscience at Calvin University.  She plans to continue her education with a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or counseling.  In her studies, she has been especially interested in child development, specifically brain development.  She hopes to pursue a career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or a crisis counselor.

Mariah has been working as a behavior technician for two years and also has several years of experience as a nanny and babysitter.  She finds fulfillment in being able to learn and grow in the field of ABA while watching clients grow and gain confidence in themselves.  She especially enjoys the playful and silly side of being a behavior technician.  In her free time, Mariah enjoys reading, spending time with family, hiking, and experiencing new places and adventures.
