Sara Herweyer

Sara is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) behavior technician working with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing through the University of Detroit.  Upon graduation she would like to continue her education by obtaining a master’s degree in nursing.  Sara especially enjoys study in areas such as child development, psychology, and pediatric care.  She hopes to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Sara has worked with children as a camp counselor and especially enjoys seeing their faces light up when they are able to reach their goals.  In her free time, she spends time hiking, swimming, and playing with her puppy.  She also enjoys volunteering, especially to support mental health.
