Biography

Theresa joined BRAINS in 2021. She has been working within the mental health field for 20 years in different realms of practice. She has experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, major depressive disorder, bipolar, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, and those with trauma history. She works with adolescent and adult individuals using a trauma focused approach in CBT, DBT, and family systems. She focuses on helping individuals learn to cope through their struggles and develop skills to overcome different obstacles in life.

Theresa has a multicultural experience in mental health as she has lived in several countries and traveled throughout the states extensively immersing herself in many different groups of people and learning and understanding many different cultures. She enjoys learning about her clients, the values they have, and their own cultural identity to find solutions that embrace what is important to their own self.
