Alisha is a fully licensed clinical social worker and MCBAP certified prevention specialist. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Central Michigan University and her Masters of Social work from Grand Valley State University. She has worked extensively with individuals and families coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life adjustments. Alisha is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and enjoys applying this model in her work with individuals and families. She grew up on the east side of the state in Detroit and has lived in Grand Rapids for the past 5 years.
Alisha believes in hope and the powerful impact it can have in reaching our individual and family goals. She is excited to offer faith-based counseling to those who are interested in integrating their faith and beliefs into their treatment. Alisha has many interests and hobbies but particularly enjoys music, the arts, and crafting. She loves to hear about the interests of her clients and enjoys using strategies such as goal setting, talk therapy, hands on activities, art, worksheets and other strategies to assist them in reaching their desired goals.
