Cheri has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist since completing her Masters Degree at Western Michigan University in 2015. She ended up on the path of Speech Pathology due to a desire to combine her passion from her Bachelor’s Degree in French Linguistics with a love for working with and helping people that she found in her acute care hospital job. As a speech-language pathologist, Cheri has experience working with pediatrics in a school-based setting and with adults in inpatient rehabilitation.

Cheri loves working with all ages and working as a team with individuals, their families and other professionals to help her clients improve their communication skills. Cheri has experience treating speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders, executive dysfunction, aphasia, and more. Cheri has a unique passion and expertise in working with individuals who are looking for augmentative and alternative methods of communication.

Cheri grew up in Grand Rapids, where she currently lives with her husband and dogs. She enjoys spending time outside, reading, and going to concerts. Cheri believes that effective communication is essential to life and looks forward to helping individuals grow their communication skills.
