Courtney began her journey of helping others communicate in East Lansing, Michigan where she graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorder from Michigan State University. Since the completion of the program in 2010, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of disorders including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and various genetic disorders. She has experience in providing a variety of treatments including general language development, augmentative and alternative communication, functional communication needs, fluency disorders, motor speech disorders and higher level language concepts.
Courtney enjoys continuing her education through learning new language supports and resources. She recently attended an advanced training with the developer of the Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD). She has presented at conferences regarding treatment techniques such as The Michigan Council of Exceptional Children.
In Courtney’s free time, she enjoys being active outside such as mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding.
