Katelyn has wanted to be an occupational therapist for a long time and has a passion for serving others. Katelyn received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from Huntington University in Fort Wayne, IN. During her graduate school experience, Katelyn traveled to Lima, Peru to provide over 100 mobility devices to individuals with disabilities. Although she is a new occupational therapist, Katelyn has experience working with individuals across the life span and in a variety of settings including acute care, home health, outpatient adult/pediatrics, and residential homes. For her final residency project at Huntington University, Katelyn worked with FitKids360, a local, non-profit childhood obesity intervention program. Katelyn is also a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM). This certification allows her to educate parents and families on the importance of nurturing touch to enhance parent-infant bonding, improve and maintain the well-being of babies, and encourage positive development in both child and parent.

Katelyn lived in her Michigan her entire life until she moved to Indiana for graduate school. She has recently moved back to the Grand Rapids area and is so happy to be back. In her spare time she enjoys working out, dancing, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. Katelyn is so excited to be working for BRAINS and looks forward to meeting with you!
