Biography
Sololeya has been with BRAINS since 2023, and currently services as a clinician. She works with children and young adults on a variety of treatment needs. In addition to, mood disorders, such as anxiety, stress, and depression, Sololeya has background working with patients with autism, behavioral disorders, and social/relational skill building. She works with individuals and families, and is available for parent consultation. Prior to joining BRAINS, Sololeya worked at a high school as a school social worker.
Sololeya grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and recently obtained her Masters in social work from the University of Michigan. She is new to the west side of the state and is excited to be closer to Lake Michigan, which she has many fond childhood memories from. She has many interests and hobbies, but enjoys going on spontaneous adventures whenever she can. She enjoys getting to know her patients and learning about their hobbies and interests too. Being able to build a relationship with her patients is important to her and she prioritizes patient comfortability. With that priority in mind, she often uses games, activities, and other methods to ensure a safe and open environment that makes therapy effective in reaching patients goals in collaboration with their wants and staying within their comfort zones.
