Board Certified Applied Behavioral Analyst

Cara joined BRAINS in September 2022 and currently serves as a Board-Certified Applied Behavior Analyst for children and young adults ranging from ages 2 to 18 years old, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Cara works in a variety of settings, including in-home, school settings, and other community settings. During graduate school, Cara had the opportunity to teach 2 undergraduate courses involving Behavior Analysis. This experience led to a new found passion for teaching families and others about behavior analysis. Cara loves working with early intervention learners and learners who need assistance with functional and daily living skills.

Cara grew up in Brighton, Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids in 2019 after graduate school. Cara lives in East Grand Rapids with her cat Sylvia. She spends her free time lounging around with her cat, trying a new recipe, going to farmer’s markets, trying new restaurants, and going antiquing. Cara loves her job because she can be creative every day, with her clients and her treatment packages. One of her favorite things about her job is creating a happy, safe, and creative learning environment for her clients and her staff.
