Carleigh Nickens

ABA Behavior Technician

Biography

Carleigh is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) behavior technician working with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Carleigh is currently studying health sciences and sociology at Aquinas College.  She plans to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in May 2024. Throughout her studies, she has been especially interested in physical and cognitive child growth and development. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she plans to attend graduate school for pediatric occupational therapy.

Carleigh has enjoyed working with children as a babysitter and as a volunteer at her local elementary school.  She enjoys seeing progress in a child’s development and watching them get excited about learning new skills.  One of her future goals is to become a pediatric occupational therapist and open her own practice one day.  In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, her volunteer work, and spending time with family and friends, especially her two little nephews.
