Biography

Christie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with knowledge and experience working with clients of all ages. She is currently specialized as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and is trained in trauma-focused therapy techniques. Christie primarily works with children and adolescents with ASD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and behavioral concerns, though often works with families on parenting strategies and cases with court-involvement. Christie’s previous experience includes foster care case management, quality assurance, and working with adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.

Christie grew up in West Michigan where she currently lives with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys being outdoors, reading a good book, cooking, and visiting family and friends. Christie believes that therapy is about the client as well as their support system. Understanding the individual’s experience while utilizing a trauma-informed lens allows for a more whole-person approach to treatment while also building up resilience.
