Jo Ann Atkinson, BA, BS

Jo Ann joined BRAINS as our first Human Resources Director in 2022. She has 35 years of progressive human resource and career development experience from diverse work environments including municipalities, manufacturing, airline, schools and healthcare. She is passionate about the growth and satisfaction of staff while appreciating their positive impact in our community.

Jo Ann grew up in Belmont and returned to her beloved hometown after living in Orlando for six years. When she is not at work, she can be found walking along the Rogue River or the Lake Michigan with her family and two grand dogs. She enjoys nature, hiking, rock hunting, beaches, environmental causes, reading and community building. Her favorite volunteer work is Little Pink Houses of Hope.
