Biography
Katie joined the BRAINS team in 2023 as our Intake Coordinator. She graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with an Associate of Arts degree, as well as earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University, where she studied psychology. She is so grateful to be working at BRAINS where she’s able to contribute to the process of helping individuals with mental health concerns get the support they need and very much deserve.
Katie has lived in the Rockford area for the majority of her life and married her high school sweetheart in 2005. Together they have a teenage son and a very large, friendly rabbit named Waffles. When not enjoying the friendly atmosphere at work, she loves more than anything to watch her son on the soccer field, and also enjoys watching extreme weather, trying out new recipes, and watching college football (Go Irish!).
