BRAINS

Kristen Bianchi, LLMSW

Therapist

Biography

Kristen has been at BRAINS since 2023 and is currently a therapist there. She works on a variety of treatment needs with children and families. Kristen works with children with autism, trauma, anger, mood disorders, and other behavioral challenges. She works with individuals, groups, and families. Prior to joining BRAINS, Kristen worked as a General Education Social Worker in a low-income neighborhood and worked with children in grades Kindergarten through 5th.

Kristen grew up in Chicago, but currently lives in West Michigan with her partner. She especially loves sports and being outside when the weather permits. She especially enjoys getting to know her patients interests, hobbies, and dreams and sincerely enjoys finding the commonalities between her and her patients. Many children and teenagers also prefer to use the beautiful walking path around the lake behind the office during session, which can be more relaxing than sitting in the office. For patients who are uncomfortable with “talk therapy”, Kristen often uses a wide array of activities, play therapy, art, or other strategies to help therapy become a safe and effective place to help patients reach their goals.
