Biography
Counseling is a relationship building process and an opportunity for individuals to invest in their own wellbeing. Matt works collaboratively with clients to help them along their journey to wellness. He provides a calm and safe environment for individuals to examine and explore difficult and challenging life issues.
Matt utilizes multiple approaches with an emphasis on person-centered, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). In therapy you will work together to formulate a plan for growth through talking, brainstorming, and formulating a plan to improve mental wellness. Matt has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. He looks forward to talking with you!
Prior to completing his master’s degree Matt worked in the outdoor industry for 10+ years. When not at work you will likely find Matt outside taking advantage of all Michigan has to offer including but not limited to skiing, camping, trail running, hiking, cycling, and boating with his wife and 4 kids.
