Tools to Thrive: Mental Health Awareness Month 2020

BRAINS is bringing recognition to the importance of self-care and mental health by celebrating the tools that have been helpful to our team while we navigate stressors and challenges associated with the coronavirus pandemic. We hope you found some tools that you can use to improve your mental health and share your tips with others so that we can all fight the stigma together.

Mental Health America (MHA) shared that while 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. The 2020 theme,  Tools 2 Thrive, provides practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency regardless of the situations they are dealing with. MHA now believes that these tools – even those that may need to be adapted for the short term because of COVID-19 and social distancing – will be more useful than ever.
